William Linn

William J. Linn, 76, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home near St. Marys.

He was born January 23, 1946, in Middletown, CT, the son of Nelson and Norma Tarallo Linn.  Bill grew up in Connecticut where he lived until moving to St. Marys in 2003.  He served in the United States Navy.

Bill was a welder and fabricator for United Technologies’ Pratt & Whitney.   He was a member of the Assumption Chapel, EAA, and a past member of the Civil Air Patrol.  Bill was a private pilot and owned JMJ Landing, a private airport located at his home address.  He was a certified private ground school instructor. 

On May 31, 1969, Bill and Patricia A. Gagnon were united in marriage in Manchester, CT. 

Bill is survived by his wife Pat; a son, Damian; two daughters, Theresa and Christine; a brother Robert Linn; two sisters Bambi Lanzi and Mary Mills; 11 grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Assumption Chapel.  Interment will be in Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery.  Mr. Linn will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Friday at Piper Funeral Home.  A Rosary will be recited at 5:20 P M. at the church.
