Wade Mayhew

April 12, 1957 — July 14, 2019

Emmett-Wade I. Mayhew, 62, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at a Topeka Hospital. He was born April 12, 1957 at Holton, the son of Adelbert and Elroy Zenher Mayhew. He grew up in the Havensville and Onaga communities. Wade attended Onaga schools. He was a welder and fabricator and had last worked for D & R Properties. He was a past member of the Topeka Dive Club. Wade was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Jennifer and a son, Chris. He married Diane Florence, they divorced. He later married Teresa Harbolt. She survives of the home. Other survivors include sons, James (Amanda) Mayhew, St. Marys, Kevin (Ashley) Harbolt, Axtell, Ryan (Tracie) Fidler, Topeka and Devin (Ashley) Anderson, Axtell; a daughter, Janell Griggs, Topeka; siblings, Merrie Pinick and Grace Flowers, both of Havensville, Roy Mayhew, Lake Havaus, AZ., Pam Konkowski, Emmett, Leonard (Dyna) Mayhew, Las Vegas; and Phil (Carol) Mayhew, Ottawa; 10 grandchildren and one-great-granddaughter. Graveside funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the St. Clere Cemetery following a visitation that starts at 3:00 at Piper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Wade's name and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
