Stephanie LeSage

St. Marys-Stephanie Ann LeSage, 51, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born November 3, 1967 at Christchurch, New Zealand the daughter of Johannes and Joan Maxwell VanWamel. She lived in New Zealand until she was 16 when she moved to St. Marys to attend St. Marys Academy and College. She later became a housemother at the school. On April 25, 1992 she was united in marriage to Brian LeSage at Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her mother, Joan VanWamel, her children, Philip, Timothy, Isabella, Joseph (Mary), and Martha; her siblings, Joseph, Shane, Benjamin, Madeline and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her father, Johannes VanWamel on October 8, 2004. Requiem mass will be at 7:00 A.M. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Assumption Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 5:20 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the chapel. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday.
