Pearl Sisson

Pearl Catherine Paul Sisson passed into glory December 16, 2015 at the Rolling Hills Assisted Living Center in Topeka, Ks. Pearl was born September 25, 1913 in Lyon Co, Ks. She married Horace Paul December 17, 1930. Pearl & Horace raised their family in the Chalk / Rock Creek community. Horace preceded her in death in 1974. Together they had five daughters and two sons: Donna Lyman (Tom) McPherson, Eldana Travis (Phil), Ft. Dodge; Carolyn Zerbe (Curtis deceased) Eskridge; Benita Peoples (Jack deceased) Eskridge; Liz Benortham (Tom ) Topeka; Charles Paul (deceased 2013) and Horace (Hod) Jr. Paul (deceased 1991). She has ten granddaughters & ten grandsons and six generations of loving grandchildren. She has one sister, Phyllis Ecklund of Eskridge and one brother John Massey (deceased). She later married Bert Sisson and he preceded her in death in 1989. Pearl was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed making many beautiful quilts. She also was a great cook & gardener. One of her most enjoyable clubs was the Chalk Ladies Aid quilting club. A service will be held Wednesday, Dec 23, at 1:00 at the Eskridge Community Church. Interment will follow at the Chalk Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials go to the Eskridge Community Church and/or Grace Hospice, Topeka, Ks. and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
