Margaret "Marge" A. Fairchild

Margaret A.  “Marge” Fairchild, 76, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka from multi-system organ failure.

She was born March 20, 1946, in Topeka, the daughter of the late Arnold F. and Mary J. Clary Oestmann.  Marge grew up in St. Marys and graduated from Mt. St. Scholastica in Atchison. 

Marge worked as a receptionist and dental assistant in St. Marys.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.        

On December 17, 1964, she married Raymond Fairchild at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys.  He survives at their home.

Other survivors include two sons, Ray D. Fairchild and Todd Fairchild, both of St. Marys; her daughter, Deann Rippe, St. Marys; a half-brother, Tim Jaeger, LuVerne, IA; grandchildren, Kimberley, Kaitlynn, Kaycie, Dustin, Kelsi, and Kylie; and two great-grandchildren, Astaria and Azula.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys.  Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.  Marge will lie in state, and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until the 7:00 P.M.
