Margaret LeHoux

March 21, 1926 — September 14, 2017

St. Marys-Margaret A. LeHoux was born March 21, 1926, "The Welcome of Spring" and Died September 14, 2017. She was born in Manchester, NH. to Phillip and Hattie (Miller) LeHoux. They moved to Cambridge, MA. where her mother died when she was 1 ½ years old. Margaret was raised by the dear Sisters of Charity in the St. Vincent DePaul orphanage in Cambridge. After the 8th grade she lived with her father and attended St. John's High School, a French school operated by French Dominican Nuns. Ten days after graduation her father died. Margaret then moved to California where she worked for "MA BELLE" as a "short and long" phone operator in the ABC,NBC buildings. With the advancements in technology she found work as a mail clerk and phone receptionist for General Motors. While working at NBC, ABC, she met many caring people, one of whom was Mrs. Walter Brennen a very devout Catholic women who helped Margaret find good friends and a good Catholic parish. Margaret was always ready to defend her faith and had a special dedication to Our Blessed Mother. When she went to order a new car she requested it in "Blessed Mother Blue". After being told they were pretty sure they didn't carry that color, she promptly pointed to one on the showroom floor and said, "Oh yes you do. Right over there, and I'll take it". With Margaret's gift of humor and "slap-stick" comedy, she was able to fulfill a dream to a small extent. She did numerous short-screen clips and was fortunate enough to land speaking parts in three full films. After her retirement she decided "Hollyweird" was not for her and exited stage "East" back to the New England area. She discovered St. Marys, Kansas and just had to finish out her years here. We were all blessed by that move. May she rest in peace. Requiem Mass for Margaret A. "Peggy" LeHoux will be at 6:50 A.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Assumption Chapel.
