Linda Roth

Dear God, You have called home our mother, Linda, to be with you and we just want to say thank you. She arrived in this world on August 23rd , 1938 as Linda Marion Craig to parents who never fully appreciated the unique beauty she was, never fully appreciated the gift you gave them. But you are good and wise and you brought John (Jack) Roth into her life. From the time they were married on October 10th, 1959, Linda's life became full of blessings, each like a square on a quilt. Together they created seven children; Kelly, Patrick, Mary, Terrence, Andrew, Kathleen and Bridget. You blessed them with experiences that brought them great joy and blessed them with challenges that made them stronger as a couple. When you called our dad home in November of 1995, Mom lost her partner, her anchor, her true love. But her quilt wasn't finished; you continued to bless her by letting her discover how strong and independent a woman she was. She was always ‘Fixin to go' and you blessed her with adventures that allowed her to see new country, encounter new people, and experience life that provided stories for the years to come. Squares were added and her quilt grew. In her life, she saw Kelly marry John Pecoraro, Mary marry Doug Raymond, and Andy marry Laurie Gonzales and through them you blessed her with the gift of grandchildren; Providence, Justin, Michael, Lindsey, David, Sara and Johnathon. You later blessed her with the joy of being G.G. to Tiyanna, Tori and Trenton. A few years ago, you blessed her by bringing Pat into her life; a sister she didn't know she had. Squares were added and her quilt grew. In the last couple of years, her heath declined, her mobility diminished, and her travels stopped. Through this she maintained an attitude of optimism and perseverance. She stitched on. You shined through her and many were touched. You filled her life with family, friends and caregivers that brought her hope, encouragement and support. Squares were added and her quilt grew. Now the quilt is complete. Thank you for delivering her from the illness and pain of an Earthly existence. We know that you have accepted her into your kingdom, welcoming her with your love, your comfort, and your peace. Thank you for the life that was Linda Marion Craig Roth. In blessing her you blessed us. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Linda will lie in state after 2:00 Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Piper Funeral Home where there will be a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Mt.
