Karen Lesperance

Karen Coleen Moylan Lesperance, 57, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born November 10, 1960 at Cheyenne, WY. the daughter of Patrick John and Carol J. Morford Moylan. She grew up in the Emmett community and graduated from St. Marys High School where she was active in basketball and track and was a cheerleader. She graduated from St. Francis Radiologic Technology School. Karen worked in Radiology at different hospitals including Stormont Vail, Topeka, Newman Regional Medical Center, Emporia, Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence and Community Hospital, St. Marys. She was united in marriage to Richard Lesperance in Emporia in 1989. They later divorced. Karen was preceded in death by her father Patrick J. Moylan on March 11, 2005. Survivors include her mother Jeannie Moylan, St. Marys; two sons, Kalen (Courtney) and their son, Holden, and Kane Lesperance, all of Topeka; her daughter, Regan Lesperance, Kansas City, KS; four brothers, Terry Moylan and Tim (Jackie) Moylan, St. Marys and Patrick and Shawn Moylan, Emmett; her sister, Kelly Moylan, Manhattan; and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 P.M. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Inurnment will be at a later date.
