JoAnn M. Valenti

JoAnn M. Valenti, 71, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at a care facility in Manhattan.

She was born January 27, 1952, in New Orleans, LA., the daughter of Joseph and Doris (Gaudin) Valenti.  She had lived in Louisiana many years and moved to Kansas several years ago.

JoAnn was a member of the Assumption Chapel in St. Marys.

Surivors include her son, Christopher (Deborah) Valenti, Wamego; grandchildren, Brayden, Kaylyn, and Anthony; nephews, Richard Thorson, Bryan Thorson and Joseph Valenti; niece, Nichole Valenti, great-nephews, Mason Frickie and Clayton Valenti.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Brandon and Diane Saucier, a brother Joseph Valenti Sr.

Requiem Mass will be at 11:15 A.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Assumption Chapel.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. JoAnn will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2023, at the funeral home.  A Rosary will be recited at 5:20 P.M. at the church.  Memorials may be made to Piper Funeral Home for funeral expenses and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
