James C. Self

James C. Self, born in Kansas City on July 31, 1948, passed away on May 10, 2023, at a care home in Richmond, with his loving wife Margie by his side.

Growing up in Kansas City, James graduated from Washington High School in 1966. Following high school, he served in the Army National Guard. James was a printer by trade and was proud of the quality of work that he produced.

In addition to his loving wife Margie, he is survived by his  mother, Joanne Frances Self, daughter, Megan Sander, his son, Ryan Self, step-daughter, Laura (Kerry) Toomey and his brother, Philip (Debbie) Self. James also leaves behind three granddaughters.

James was a member of the Catholic faith.  A prayer service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 17th at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 10:30 am. The burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Saint Marys.
