Edwin Bush

Edwin E. Bush, 93, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at a Topeka nursing facility.

Ed was born November 2, 1928, seven miles south of Eskridge on the family farm the son of Earle and Katherine States Bush.  He graduated from Eskridge High School and attended Kansas State University.

Ed lived and worked on the family farm until 1960,when he started to work for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He retired from KDOT in 1991.  Ed was a member of the Eskridge United Methodist Church and a member of the Eskridge Kiwanis Club.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Bush and two sisters, Mildred Buchman, and Lola Killian.

On August 18, 1957, he married Ila VanVickle in Chanute, KS.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Steve (Vickey) Bush, Eskridge, and Wayne (Maria) Bush, Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Angela, Jennifer, Jerrod, Emilie and Will.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, southeast of Eskridge.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice or Johnson Cancer Research Center at Kansas State University and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
