Dr. Micheal D. Roberts, a retired assistant superintendent at Kaw Valley USD 321, has sadly passed away at the age of 80 in St. Marys, KS. Dr. Roberts was born in Cushing, OK on April 30th, 1943. 

 Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Roberts made a lasting impact on the education sector with his expertise and passion for administration. He was introduced to his profession as a soldier . He was selected for extensive training and a job at Sandia Base, New Mexico, instructing Army technicians in the care and maintenance of nuclear warheads for a missile system. 

 After discharge, he lived in Albuquerque and attended the University of New Mexico. He received Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from the University of New Mexico and earned a PhD in Administration from Kansas State University. His contributions to the field will always be remembered and cherished by colleagues and students alike.

 Apart from his professional endeavors, Dr. Roberts loved to build, repair, and tinker with clocks of all shapes and sizes. This hobby not only brought him joy but also showcased his meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship. His other great joy in life was his love of music, and he enjoyed singing with the Flint Hills Messiah chorus in Wamego.

 Dr. Roberts was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean A. Roberts, who shared many wonderful years by his side; by his parents, Binum D. and Mildred (Ott) Roberts; and by his sister, Nancy Jane Hellwege.

In this difficult time of loss, Dr. Micheal D. Roberts will be dearly missed by his surviving family members including sister Tommie Lee (Darrell) Cargill, brother Joe Roberts and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

His presence will be deeply missed, and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dr. Micheal D. Roberts will forever be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence in all aspects of life.

 Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in the family cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma.
