Artak McCarthy

Artak Nicholas "Nick" "Russian" McCarthy, 23, Emmett, was killed in an automobile accident Wednesday, August 19, 2015 near Mayetta. He was born July 26, 1992 at Krasnodar, Russia. He was adopted and moved to the St. Marys community in 2000. Nick was a carpenter and worked in construction. He was a member of Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. He loved to volunteer and was always there to help anyone at any time. He was a very outgoing young man. Survivors include his father, Charles McCarthy; his mother, Sabrina Cruz; siblings, Amanda Meyer, Christopher, Therese, Patrick, Annamarie, David, Joseph, Benedict, and Brendan McCarthy: a grandmother, Linda Brown. Requiem Mass will be at 7:15 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at 5:20 P.M. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Assumption Chapel. Interment will be in Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery, St. Marys. Nick will lie in state from 2:00 until 4:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
