Martha Jean Noel, age 88, of St. Mary's, KS, passed away peacefully on July 26th, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on February 8, 1938, in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, Martha was the daughter of Perrin and Martha Baker. She grew up in southwestern Pennsylvania, where she developed the values of hard work, kindness, and faith that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated from Langley High School in Sheraden, PA.

Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She found her greatest joy in caring for her family and creating a welcoming home. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love, generous heart, and the countless ways she quietly served those around her.

Throughout her life, Martha enjoyed volunteer work, playing bridge with her friends, & spending time with her family. A talented needlepoint artist, she created beautiful Christmas stockings for each of her 10 grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.Martha was an active member of FCE, UMW, & the Literary Club. She enjoyed following her favorite sports teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers & the Kansas City Royals. For several years, she rooted for the K-State girls basketball team; attending many games with her good friends.

Martha is survived by her children, Jennifer (Dan) Hohman and Andrew Noel, all of St. Mary's; her grandchildren, Kenny(Theresa) Hohman, of Lorena, TX; Sister Philippine Marie of France; Stephen (Virginia) Hohman, of Kansas City, KS; Joseph (Liz) Hohman of Florence, KY; Theresa Hohman, of St Mary's, KS; Nicholas Hohman of Overland Park, KS; Philomena Hohman, of St. Mary's, KS; Henry Hohman, of Overland Park, KS; Thomas Hohman, of Overland Park, KS; and Bernadette (Isaac) Criste, of St. Mary's, KS. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, with 2 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Noel II; her parents, and her brother, Robert P. Baker.

A visitation will be held at Piper Funeral Home, St. Mary's, KS on Friday July 31st from 2:00-4:00 pm. Interment will take place at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, friends, and loved ones who provided Martha with comfort and support throughout her final days. Though deeply missed, Martha's legacy of faith, love, and kindness will remain an enduring blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
