Biography
Havensville- David W. “Dave” Luttig, 52, died late Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Onaga Community Hospital.
He was born October 6, 1957 at Onaga, the son of G. Dale and Carol J. Phillips Luttig. He was raised in the Emmett community and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1975.
Dave was a welder. He was a member of the N.R.A. and had attended the Havensville Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his father G. Dale Luttig on September 15, 2009 and an infant sister Judith on May 16, 1967.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Luttig, Emmett; his sister, Cathy (Denny) Clayton, Rossville; a niece, Amanda Clayton, Guam and a great niece, Chloe; his best friend and companion, Debbie Mapes, Havensville and her family, Sarah (Adam) Krause, Topeka, Diana (Scott) Shankland and their daughter Airaden, and Joshua Mapes all of Havensville; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Inurnment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Emmett. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the funeral home from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
